Tell Me About It
Edgar and Mallory Battle are on the run after a spectacularly violent escape. Now, with a trail of bodies behind them, they need a hostage against the inevitable standoff with the police. Their first doesn’t last long, thanks to sociopathic Mallory. Edgar has been hiding his brother's crimes since they were kids. Now he’s torn between family loyalty and self-preservation.
They carjack Lucy Brightwing, a criminal fresh from her own heist, with a fortune of uncut gems hidden in her vehicle. She could escape – but she won’t abandon her millions. She could kill the Battle brothers, but she has to be careful. For one thing, if the law investigates, they’ll find her ill-gotten loot. For another, her own life is sacred. She’s the last member of a Florida paleoindian tribe thought to be extinct – the Tequesta. With her share of the money she plans to buy, bribe and blackmail her way into her own ancestral tribal lands in the heart of the Everglades: a Tequesta nation.
My Thoughts
Brightwing starts off in Lucy Brightwing's point of view while she is in the process of stealing gemm. We are then introuduced to The Battle Brothers, Edgar and Mallory, who are running from the law after a break out by Mallory to rescue his brother from the prison van
The battle brothers leave a trail of destruction along thier path untill they meet Lucy, the unlikely trio end up travelling together so that Lucy can find a safe place to hide.

I was contacted by Sullivan Lee for a request to read and review Brightwing. After reading the short description I accepted and I am glad I did, not only does Brightwing contain action, romance and enough violence to whet my appetitie, it has names like "Jimmi Three Toes and Uncle Billie Bald Cyprus".

I loved the descriptive writng of Sullivan Lee, I have never been to Florida but from hearing it described through Lucy's eyes I really need to go. I could picture everything that was being described in my head.
I enjoyed learning about Lucy's history and the stories she told of how she became the last Tequesta.
"Are you comfortable? It's a long story.  Fifteen thousand years long."
Brightwing is a real page turner and I literally stayed up past 3am to finish it, I had to know what was happening next. Brightwing takes you on an adventure filled with action, romance and in the end the......pick up a copy yourself to find out what happens in the end. ;)
