The Taker Trilogy

Early this year I got the chance to review The Taker by Alma Katsu and I have some exciting news to share with you which comes straight from Alma herself.

First, on March 13th, Simon & Schuster is publishing The Devil’s Scribe, a short story that’s part of The Taker Saga. In it, Lanny travels back to America to check on the house in Boston and meets Edgar Allan Poe, who figures out that this woman has a secret which he must learn. The Devil’s Scribe is only being published electronically, and will be available for all ereader devices. You can find out more about the short story (which will include the first chapter of The Taker) here.

Second, the trade paperback version of The Taker is coming out on March 27th.  You may have heard that The Taker picked up some nice accolades, including being selected by the American Library Association as one of the top ten debut novels of 2011. It also made the extended bestsellers list in the UK and is off to a great start in Italy following the February 16th release. It’s going to be available in paperback, with a reader’s guide and a chapter from the second book in the trilogy, The Reckoning (coming June 19th). It’s perfect for book clubs, who really like that trade paperback format.

Look at the cover, I think I prefer this one to the old cover.  It makes the book more mysterious.
