Tell Me About It
Alice Forster talks to her dead sister, Meggie, in the virtual world of Soul Beach – an online paradise for the young, the beautiful and the dead – but paradise can be stifling and the Beach’s guests want to move on.

If Alice can solve the mystery of her sister’s murder then Meggie will be free.

But passions are running high, the temperature’s rising and as Alice gets closer to finding the killer, the killer is getting closer to Alice . . .

My Thoughts
Soul Fire picks up nearly a year after Megan's death. Alice is still spending time on Soul Beach, but has now become slightly obsessed and is spending a lot of time there. Her parents, who finally realise they still have Alice, start to focus their attention on her, and they see how often she is on her computer. Her computer privileges taken away from her, Alice begins to spend more time with Alex, and I loved getting to see their friendship develop more. I really want this duo to get their act together, but with Alice only having eyes for Danny Alex is just a speck in the distance.

A few chapters in we are given a huge surprise, and although this is supposedly resolved by the officials involved, getting to visit Soul Beach with Alice clearly shows us it isn't and I really admire Alice for sticking by her beliefs and working to free the guests from the beach.
The killer is still at large and clues and hints are carefully placed to keep you guessing, and right at the last page Alice thinks she has figured it out, and while I don't truly believe the person she has guessed is responsible, I do think it is someone else in that small group.

Soul Fire takes us away from Alice's home, to Barcelona to vist an old friend of Megan's. We get to hear some home truths from someone and some revelations, some of which I didn't suspect. While in Barcelona Alice also helps free another guest from Soul Beach. While I think it is sad to see the characters we have started to love leave the beach, I admire Alice's courage and determination to continue to help others in finding their own peace, especially knowing that she could one day end up freeing Megan.

Once again Kate has wrote another great book that I thoroughly enjoyed and I can't wait to find out what happens in the next instalment, I just have to wait very patiently for its release.
