And for something completely different, The Gods of Guilt is the gripping fifth novel in the explosive Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly following the story of LA criminal attorney Mickey Haller. If you like crime novels by Dennis Lehane and Peter James, you will love this…

Thrill-seekers will also enjoy The Toy Taker, the third novel in the DI Sean Corrigan series by Luke Delaney. The perfect summer read for budding detectives, this thriller comes with a warning that you may not be able to put it down.

Donna Tartt’s modern odyssey The Goldfinch celebrates the love of storytelling and is sure to sweep you away this summer with tales of the criminal underworld and the strangely captivating painting that leads main character Theo Decker into its dark and dangerous circle.

You’ll want Cockroaches in your hotel room as long as it’s the latest hit by crime sensation Jo Nesbo. Cockroaches takes you deep into the steaming heat of Bangkok where Detective Harry Hole has been sent to investigate the death of a Norwegian ambassador in a dangerously addictive crime thriller.

And finally, The Silkworm by J.K. Rowling, under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, is due to be a huge summer hit. The second in the Cormoran Strike series this is one crime novel whose twists at every turn make it a holiday essential.
