Tell Me About It
Ellie Jordan’s job is to catch and remove unwanted ghosts. Part detective, part paranormal exterminator, Ellie operates out of Savannah, Georgia, one of the oldest and most haunted cities in North America.

When a family contacts her to deal with a disturbing presence in the old mansion they’ve recently purchased, Ellie first believes it to be a typical, by-the-book specter, a residual haunting by a restless spirit. Instead, she finds herself confronting an evil older and more powerful than she’d ever expected, rooted in the house’s long and sordid history of luxury, sin, and murder. The dangerous entity seems particularly interested in her clients’ ten-year-old daughter.

Soon her own life is in danger, and Ellie must find a way to exorcise the darkness of the house before it can kill her, her clients, or their frightened young child.
My Thoughts
I heard about Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper when the author contacted me to see if I was interested in a review copy. After reading quite a few of the authors books I did not hesitate in replying with a yes. While it has taken me longer than expected to get round to reading Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper, I made sure to get this review written and posted as soon as possible.

When I began reading, Stacey was someone who I instantly liked. She always made me smile, not only for the things she says, but also her eagerness regarding hauntings, and to dive into a situation or open her mouth before confirming with Ellie.
Ellie is a strong leader, and although the ghost investigations do scare her, she appears fearless to others, helping them feel at ease with her being in their home, and also with the findings.

Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper definitely had spooky moments that had me waiting with baited breath wondering if the ghost would make an appearance and how it would react to these new intruders. The attention to detail about what is going on kept me reading, wanting to know more about the history of the house and trying to figure out who was haunting it. The twists and turns throughout the pages kept me guessing over what would happen next, was it really all over, would they survive another night in the house.

Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper was a great read, the technical information about ghost hunting and trapping helped you understand what was going on a bit more, thankfully it knew most of the information thanks to years of watching ghost hunting shows. The final chapter was a great finale to the book, and I thought it was a well earned revenge. I can't wait to see what J.L.Bryan has in store for this ghost trapping duo in their next adventure.

  1. I haven't personally been spooked, but my mother has seen a ghost.

  2. I stayed on the Queen Mary for a week in Long Beach, CA, and my friend and I explored the ship as much as we could one of the nights. On the lowest level of the ship you can go, there is an indoor pool. I swear I could see someone behind me in the glass walls of the elevator. A woman in black and white polka dotted swimsuit and a swim cap with a white flower and a towel. Later that week, we ended up going to the onship museum and I saw a picture that had that woman in the photograph with a group of people standing by the pool. She was listed as drowning in the indoor pool... It was a bit freaky and awesome. :)
