Penguins take flight with new IglooBooks range
-New publishing line launched to celebrate DreamWorks Animation’s Penguins of Madagascar feature film-
As penguins grip the nation’s imagination, IglooBooks announces the launch of a new range of books based on DreamWorks Animation’s latest fun, family feature film, Penguins of Madagascar.
The multi-format book series will be aimed at children aged between three and nine, launching at the same time as the film hits the big screen on 5 December 2014. The range will feature a book of the film, picture books, sound boards, various sticker and activity sets, colouring books, and plenty more to keep the kids entertained.
Penguins of Madagascar feature film arrives hot on the heels of its award-winning animated children’s TV series and the much-loved Madagascar films, which together have generated over $1.7 billion in global box office revenue.
The 3D espionage comedy extravaganza follows everybody’s favourite penguin heroes Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Privat as they are joined by a debonair secret agent, known as Classified, to take on the formidable villain, Octavius Brine.
John Styring, CEO at IglooBooks, commented: “Over the last year we have been building a strong relationship with the DreamWorks Animation team, publishing an array of books to coincide with releases such as Turbo and Postman Pat: The Movie as well as for TV content for Dragons: Riders of Berk. The success of these books recently led to us signing a master UK publishing agreement which will see us bring to market core formats across DreamWorks Animation franchises.”
“With the release of Penguins of Madagascar we intend to push ourselves further than ever before by producing an expansive, interactive and popular range that will truly complement the box office smash hit this promises to be.”
