Tell Me About It
Seventeen years ago, Damian Walker abducted five women because the voices in his head told him to. Now he has been declared sane and is about to be released back onto Manchester’s streets with a new identity.

But within hours, there is another attack similar to his previous ones. Walker has proof it’s not him – but is he reliable, and, if so, who is trying to frame him?

DI Jessica Daniel and her chief are given a parallel task to the main investigation: Keep an eye on Walker – but that’s not all Jessica has to do.

Rock star Blaine Banner is playing a series of homecoming gigs but is convinced someone’s trying to kill him, while a bride-to-be is picketing the police station, demanding someone finds her missing fiancĂ©.

All the while, faces from Jessica’s past are watching and waiting. Someone wants a word
My Thoughts
Eye for an Eye is the twelfth book in the Jessica Daniel series by Kerry Wilkinson, and after binge reading the series over December I couldn't wait to dive into this book, especially with the cliffhangers and unfinished events from the previous books.

After the long break between reading the first book, to catching up on the series, I had forgotten how much I love this world, and how 'real' it's up the motorway from me so it's pretty easy for me to imagine the accents, the tone of voice used, as well as any slang words used.

Eye for an Eye was everything I expected from the author, as well as the series itself, below are some key things that really stood out and made this a five star read.

♦ I loved seeing some old faces back with Jessica and working as part of a secret team, I really did miss the banter and in jokes.
♦ The addition of a new face to the team,Ruth Evesham, not only added another person to the mix, but also has you hoping she will be a new ally for Jessica.
♦ Jessica shows her tough side and how she's not a person to mess with, but also another side to her, one that has emotions and has to make tough decisions for the future.
♦ It had me in tears....a lot, especially over a tough decision.
♦ I missed Bex and her spark, how she gets along with Jessica so well and how mothering Jessica is towards her.
♦ I love the setting and how it all feels like a possibility
♦ I enjoy trying to solve the mystery before the end....which I never seem to succeed in doing :)

The Jessica Daniel series is one that never gets old, each new book bringing a whole new story as well as an underlying sub plot that continues through several books. I really don't want this series to end, but I also know an end is coming soon.

Memorable Quotes

'What did you do with the note?'
Banner shrugged. 'Ate it, dint I?'
