Nastasya has spent the last century living as a spoiled, drugged-out party girl. She feels nothing and cares for no one. But when she witnesses her best friend, a Dark Immortal, torture a human, she realizes something's got to change. She seeks refuge at a rehab for wayward immortals, where she meets the gorgeous, undeniably sexy Reyn, who seems inexplicably linked to her past.
Nastasya finally begins to deal with life, and even feels safe--until the night she learns that someone wants her dead.
[from goodreads]

I really enjoyed reading Immortal Beloved.  I felt it was well written and not once did I loose interest with the storyline.  I love the cover, and after reading the book I can see how the cover fits into the story.
Natasya/Nasty is an immortal but is unhappy with her friends and their actions towards others. It takes Incy to kill a man that she decides she needs to leave them and travel to America to Rivers Edge, where she at first reluctantly stays.  But it's not a free ride, and she is tasked with menial jobs like feed chickens, get hay for horses, clean cook and attend lessons in order for her to be allowed to stay.

Immortal Beloved is a captivating read, and although the focus is mainly on Natasya we get some insight into other characters too.  I liked reading about how Natasya became the way she is now, and how we get to see how she is turning her life around and is starting to help others.
I really liked that Immortals can be born immortal and that it comes from their parents but it not always a guarantee which was a nice little twist in the story and breaks it away from the norm.  I enjoyed getting a look into Natasya's past and what has happened to her, but have to admit it took me a while to make the connection with Reyn.  I enjoyed the antagonistic relationship between Nell and Natasya, and how clueless Reyn was about Nell's feeling for him.

I can't wait to make a start on Darkness Falls and see what happens next, not only with Natasya, but also Reyn, Nell and whether Natasya's old friends find her.
