Tell Me About It
Rachel Miller thought her next job was a run-of-the-mill haunting. As a member of the Order of Rescue Mediums it's her duty to release trapped spirits from the earthly realm. But when called to client Sylvia Elkeles's house, she finds a wraith who doesn't act like he should.
The Order considers the wraith an extreme threat and Rachel may be forced to use a barbaric ritual to free him—a ritual that comes with a heavy personal price. If she fails to humanely release the wraith, she'll have her supernatural abilities bound.
When Janus Ostara—local supernatural mob boss—shows up demanding her attention, and Sylvia keeps secrets that may place Rachel in mortal danger, she doesn't need her abilities to know something darkly sinister is at play.
Between uncovering Sylvia's disturbing motives, and avoiding Janus, Rachel has enough on her hands without dealing with a wraith who may not realize he's supposed to be dead...

My Thoughts
From the moment I started The Stubborn Dead I was thrown straight into the action, in the middle of an exorcism and it just continues from there.  There is never a dull moment while reading The Stubborn Dead, and although it is a short read it doesn't lack in it storytelling.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Rachel Miller and her abilities and how she uses them but most of all loved how they have their own little society and that they even have their own rules, the one being called into use during The Stubborn dead being after a medium has made contact with a rodach they have 48 hours to get rid of it, or risk losing their job and being removed from the society.

I really enjoy reading books that have paranormal beings as part of the main plot and although there is a big base of paranormal investigation in The Stubborn Dead, there is also some mystery in the background which had me turning pages to find out what was happening and to see the whole case solved.

I can't wait to see what else Natasha comes up with next when we get to follow Rachel in her next adventure.
