Review: Wanderlove by Kristen Hubbard

Title: Wanderlove

It all begins with a stupid question:
Are you a Global Vagabond?
No, but 18-year-old Bria Sandoval wants to be. In a quest for independence, her neglected art, and no-strings-attached hookups, she signs up for a guided tour of Central America—the wrong one. Middle-aged tourists with fanny packs are hardly the key to self-rediscovery. When Bria meets Rowan, devoted backpacker and dive instructor, and his outspokenly humanitarian sister Starling, she seizes the chance to ditch her group and join them off the beaten path.
Bria's a good girl trying to go bad. Rowan's a bad boy trying to stay good. As they travel across a panorama of Mayan villages, remote Belizean islands, and hostels plagued with jungle beasties, they discover what they've got in common: both seek to leave behind the old versions of themselves. And the secret to escaping the past, Rowan’s found, is to keep moving forward.
But Bria comes to realize she can't run forever, no matter what Rowan says. If she ever wants the courage to fall for someone worthwhile, she has to start looking back.
[from goodreads]

Wanderlove follows Bria as she joins a backpacking group to travel, what was meant to be a joint trip with her friends ends up being a journey for one.  We get some glimpses into the reasons for Bria wanting to do this journey and what she feels like she needs to get away form.

Wanderlove is good read, I would never have the courage to travel like that so it was nice to get to read about diffent places and their way of life seen through the eyes of Bria.  I loved the journey that she took, starting off in a group but then joining Starling and Rowan travelling with them, but also the personal journey that she took herself and how she finally finds herself again.  Bria showed courage and determination to continue with her plans and eventually leave her travel group.  When you eventually find out what happened between Bria and her ex I hated him with a passion, but my thoughts of Bria only got better and felt happy for her when she finally realises what a waste of space he was.
I enjoyed the pictures that were placed in the book, they are the pictures that Bria has drawn herself and they helped to visualise her artwork.

Wonderlove is a book that everyone will enjoy and I will be buying a copy to add to my shelves.
