Tell Me About It
Cass Daniels isn’t waiting for her knight in shining armor. She knows that girls like her don’t get a happily ever after. Not if you live in a trailer with your mom, work at a greasy spoon diner, and get leered at by old men. Maybe that’s why she puts up with Jackson—her poor excuse for a boyfriend, who treats her like dirt. Cass has learned to accept her lot in life. That is, until he walks into her diner. . . .

His name is Tucker White, and he’s different from any man Cass has ever known. Tall, tattooed, and bad-ass gorgeous, he’s the lead singer of the rock band Damaged. From the moment they meet, Tucker sees something in Cass he just can’t shake. Something beautiful. Something haunted. Something special. And he’s determined to find out what it is—if only he can get her to open up and let him in. . . .

My Thoughts
White Trash Beautiful immediatley caught my attention when I saw it on netgalley, not only with it's synopsis but also its eye catching cover.
Cass is a waitress at dead end job, saving money to find a better place of her own away from Jax (her boyfriend) and her Mum.  She slaves all day at work, to go home to two people who she loves (more than she should) high as kites.  Any money she makes is hidden away from Jax's prying eyes while he constantly begs her for any money she has on her to get his latest fix.
Tucker is random stranger that appears in the diner she works, and strikes up an initial one sided friendship, he has Cass's back even when she doesn't realise it and before they even know each other that well.  He is her guardian angel in tattoos and leather.

Jax is an ass, and although Cass's mum has issues, she is also an ass.  This pair basically abandoned Cass for their own selfish gain and next fix, and  she is left to try and keep her family unit together.  Tucker is a knight in shining armour......or a knight on an amazing ride, either way he is there to save Cass, he sees behind her fa├žade and into her soul (sappy I know) he knows the hurt she is trying to hide and wants to help, and while I admire him for helping, part of me thinks he could have done more, he could have saved Cass sooner and not took no for an answer so she wouldn't have to suffer through what she does.

White Trash Beautiful is a book full of mixed subjects, romance, secret romance, and bad relationships,  yet for some reason it blends well together to make a captivating read.  While I fell head first into the pages and quickly demolished the book I do have a few niggles about it.

1. I felt like the relationship between Tucker and Cass was rushed along far too quickly, one minute he is a complete stranger, then she finds out who he is, then they jump into bed together.  Come on, at least make it official before you do the deed.  She is still in a relationship with Jax, admittedly you cant really call it a relationship, more like baggage, very unwanted baggage, but at least have the decency to end things, especially if you are going to feel guilty over it after the fact.

2. I felt like the book itself wasn't long enough, so much is squeezed into the pages and then it suddenly ends.  I felt like it could have been spaced out a it better time wise and ended a bit sooner at another event in the book, yet still give us all the information we need, leaving us with the same amount of pages but better paced.

Regardless of the niggles I had with White Trash Beautiful I am looking forward to seeing what happens next when book two is released.
