Tell Me About It
Ryley Clarke has grown up with the military in her blood, with both parents serving their country. Ryley knows the risks of being married to the military. But when the unthinkable happens, and her future husband is killed in action, Ryley can barely survive... until Evan's twin brother, Nate, helps her pick up the pieces.

After serving on a special mission with the military for six years, Evan Archer returns home to find the unthinkable - the love of his life, Ryley Clarke - engaged to his brother, Nate. With Nate on deployment, Evan needs to figure out what happened in his absence, and more importantly, how to win Ryley back from the man he once considered his best friend, but now thinks of as his rival.
My Thoughts

I've been told therapy will help, but I'm not so sure it will. You can't fix something that has been destroyed for years. We aren't a family of teddy bears with missing eyes or ears that can be sewn back on making us look somewhat new. We're a damaged bunch, destined for nothing but heartache.
This sums up Here With Me so perfectly, from the very first sentence right down to the very last word, there is heartbreak all around, but there are also some happy times, and times of remembering the past and what they had together, which also plays such an important role in the book.

I have read every single one of Heidi's, books, so I knew going into Here With Me I was going to read an amazing book, that would also leave my heart in tiny shattered pieces. Imagine you go away for work, and come back 6 years later to find out your family had moved on without you. That your fiancée was now engaged to your own twin brother, and that they believed you were never coming back, that you had died. This is what happened to Evan, and Here With Me tells the complicated story of Evan, Ryley, and Nate. To make this situation even more worse, there is another person to think about in this mess.

Here With Me is told in alternate points of view, Ryley and Evan. We initially meet this pair as they separately attend a therapist appointment to talk about the reasons for being there, and a way to find a solution to their problem. The synopsis gives us a little bit of information on this problem, but we get to see more in these appointments. Parts of the past and their current problem made my heart sad for what they had to deal with, and that was only a few chapters into the book, so right then I knew I had much more emotional stuff to come.

As Here With Me progresses we are fed minute bits of information, from both sides, as to how they met, and what happened upon Evans arrival back home. Let me just say that some seriously f$€%#d up stuff happened to Evan and his team, and someone has a lot of explaining to do. I really need to know what happened to their mission and why were all of their families told they had died. Here With Me is a heartbreaking, soul wrenching read, but I loved every single page of it, he ups and downs of the therapy sessions, the getting to know each other again, and even down to seeing Evan trying to find his place again.

Here With Me is a must read for anyone, and after my tweet to Heidi, I'm sure it's easy for you to see how much I loved Here With Me, and how badly I need the next book.
