Tell Me About It
The road for Noah Westbury has been carved out for him, long before he knew who his father was. Making sure he worked hard to deserve the opportunities provided to him, Noah is exactly where he dreamed of being - starting QB for Portland Pioneers. Together with a Victoria Secret's model girlfriend by his side, life couldn't get much better. Except for the fact that standing in his path is Peyton Powell-James, his life-long friend and the one woman he can never have.

Peyton Powell-James always knew her future would be in football and dreams of having a successful sports journalism career once she graduates college. After being given an assignment to cover a professional game from the sidelines, Peyton believes that everything is going to plan until one fateful night changes her life.

Harsh reality sets in for Noah and Peyton. One could lose everything, while the other one struggles to keep the families together.
My Thoughts
Although I have read other books by Heidi McLaughlin, The Beaumont Series is my favourite out of them all, so when I found out there would be another addition to this world, but with a new generation I could not wait to get hold of a copy. Getting to see the children grown up and experiencing their own problems was something I HAD to read.

Before I go any further I'm going to be as vague as possible about what happens within the pages, but also advise you to have tissues ready when you read Holding Onto will definitly need them.

Holding Onto Forever is Noah and Peyton's story. We get to catch up with this duo as they narrate their own chapters, and seeing what they are doing now. Noah is a QB, whilst Peyton is in college to become a professional sports journalist. Peyton is offered the opportunity of a lifetime, but the choices that follow could change her future and the path she intends to follow.

I've been up and down with my reading lately, struggling to finish books, but with Holding Onto Forever I had it finished in hours. The moment I began reading I fell back into this world and I could not put the book down. Heidi has a way of drawing you in, and keeping you in suspense over what will happen next, either with the life changing incident, or what happens afterwards. Like the previous book in the series Holding Onto Forever is a dual point of view, and I absolutely LOVED how Peytons story was told, even if I did cry a million tears and need tissues and chocolate to get me through. Noah's story was just as heartbreaking for various reasons, for struggling with his feelings, as well as his overbearing-powerhungry-pushy girlfriend (please feel free to add a few more names once you've finished reading)

Holding Onto Forever brings up you past feelings and emotions from the previous books, and make you very protective over the characters, which also makes you judgemental (which is fully deserved). But seeing the whole family reunited was definitly worth going through the pain, especially as their life in general makes this harder to do.

Final Verdict
I think I've rambled one enough, and it's best to stop now before I have to bring out the big SPOILER warning,  because I honestly can't tell you how much I feel for this book, and the characters, without spilling some secrets and some major plot spoilers. So I'm just going to leave this here.....
